For anyone who has ever turned on the television, discussed fashion with colleagues or even just opened up your favourite fashion magazine, you’ll know that there is a serious epidemic and it’s called the Kardashians.

For anyone who has been living under the proverbial rock for the last four years and hasn’t got an iota who the Kardashian/Jenner family are, let me it explain it really quickly for you. The 4 Kardashian children (Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Robert) are the children of Robert Kardashian (the celebrity lawyer on the OJ Simpson case) and Kris, a publicist or PR person or something, she has her hands in so many pies now so it’s hard to know anymore! The family became famous about 5 years ago when the middle daughter Kim’s sex tape ‘leaked’ and as a result of this, were given their own show on E!. Robert Kardashian and Kris split about 20 years ago but Robert died in 2003 and was never involved in the show. Kris’ second husband of 20 years is Bruce Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist and they have had 2 children together, Kendall and Kylie (god forbid they’d stop with the K’s). Bruce also has 4 kids from previous marriages, one of whom, Brody is of ‘The Hills’ fame. Less confusing now? Didn’t think so!

The Kardashians are not only synonymous with reality TV but with fashion as well. Before the show even aired, Kourtney, Kim and Khloe had their own clothing store called Dash, Kendall and Kylie are both models and Kris is just a crazy momager that manages all of these things for everyone! My aim with this article is look at the style of each Kardashian/Jenner that appears in the fashion stratosphere so I think it’s best to go through them one by one!

Kourtney Kardashian: The brainchild behind DASH and my favourite Kardashian sister in terms of style. The token miniature sibling is usually shafted from the ‘Most Stylish’ sections by sister Kim but when you look closely, has an absolutely fabulous outfit collection, ranging from demure to elegant to out there. Kourtney has been hitting the headlines more recently for her pregnancy style and although she is ready to pop, Kourtney has kept that cool effortless style going right throughout the pregnancy. The clothes evidently chosen by her for the Sears Kardashian Kollection are more smart and classy than the others and her image is more elegant and refined than the others. Her fiancée and father of Mason and the new baby is Scott Disick who also appears on the show. But we’ll get to him later!

Kim Kardashian: The middle sister and to be honest, the one I like the least. Having watched all seasons of KUWTK (yeah I’m an addict!), her work ethic when it comes to the stores they own is a lot lower than her sisters and she doesn’t seem as focused on fashion despite being the most loved sister in the style stakes. Her outfits are made to flaunt her best assets which unfortunately she is most famous for. Having said that, she is a very hard worker and shrewd when it comes to making money, but it’s not as clear to everyone as it should be that she has more ability than housing a nice ass. A lot less demure than her sisters and current squeeze of the biggest tool ever, Kanye West. Her contribution to the Kardashian Kollection was bodycon dresses and asset-flaunting outfits. She is hated by Anna Wintour so won’t be seen on the cover of US Vogue anytime soon but keep a look out for her sisters!

Khloe Kardashian: Another favourite of mine, seems to get forgotten an awful lot as she is the biggest of the three sisters in both height and weight. An inspiration to bigger girls everywhere and has her own following. Very hands-on when it comes to working with her sisters with the fashion collections but spends most of her time travelling and living elsewhere with her basketball playing husband Lamar Odom. She prefers floaty, more colourful outfits that contradict her sisters  but suit her figure a lot more instead of trying to fit into the small dresses Kourtney and Kim wear. She also posed naked for PETA after struggling with her weight issues as a message to real sized girls across the globe that they are beautiful.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner: Half sisters of the Kardashian Three and very stylish in their own right. As Kendall is only 16 and Kylie 14, they have not full established themselves in the fashion world yet but they are not long about climbing their way up there. Both are fashion models, an industry that the other three have never been able to break into and Kendall especially will be seen on the runway in the not so distant future. Both are tall and slim and use this to their advantage by wearing a lot of skinny jeans, leggings and bodycon dresses. They have been featured in OK! among other publications. These are two sisters that will not be giving up the showbiz gene easily.

Kris Jenner: Not one to stay out of things…EVER, so we’ll include her in this. Most like Kim out of all her children, she prefers the bodycon dress and flashing that skin. Kris likes wearing clothes that are perhaps a little young for a woman with children that old but will not be persuaded and to be fair, she looks pretty incredible for her age. Maybe if Kris stepped away from the clothes she steals from her daughters and created her own sense of style, she’d be top of this list.

Scott and Mason Disick: Scott was introduced in the first ever episode as Kourtney’s boyfriend and has managed to keep hanging on all the way despite a Kourtney sex scandal (yes, she had one too), break-ups, alcoholism and anger issues. Now Scott and Kourtney have their son Mason and a baby girl about to pop.  Scott has had a huge following in the last few seasons for being extremely dapper in custom-made suits and even the introduction of the cane in a few episodes..thank god that disappeared! Mason’s parents are one of the most stylish couples of our generation so why wouldn’t he be the most well-dressed 2-year-old around! Possibly the cutest child on the planet with outfits to match, he’ll be rivaling Suri in the stylish child category before too long!

With a family this size its crazy that so many are so involved in the same industry. Bruce and Robert aren’t as involved as the others so I haven’t included them but the whole family has been in one way or the other over the years, all under the guidance of Kris Jenner, super momager. The crazy epidemic of Kardashians isn’t set to leave the face of the earth yet so all we can do is sit down, grab some popcorn and watch the show that is the lives of the rich, famous and insane Kardashians. The real question is, why does the world like them so much?

Sorry to have been gone for so long, readers, I flew home last weekend and didn’t bring my laptop so couldn’t report on your Scrumptious Sunday Seven favourites and the heat here has been making me hide in my freezer. But I’m back on form, writers block avoided and ready to write. I’m currently writing up my first article for Linger magazine so hopefully you’ll see it in next months issue, I’m SO excited about it!
