So, I’ve been searching through Amazon for about an hour now and am completely at a loss! I’ve been musing, and as a credible journalist, I’ve decided I need to look the part rather than just writing about everything so there is nothing quite like a nice stack of coffee table books to set that off nicely!
However, my head is swimming with the thousands (literally thousands!) of titles on the site, and I was hoping you lovely readers could help me in choosing some books for the lovely little collection I’m trying to build up!
I’m thinking of starting as every collection should, with one of the hundreds of books written about this fabulous woman, but if you have any suggestions, let me know…

Yes, this Chanel biography is a great one. When it comes to other books, have you read fashion’s “classics”? Elizabeth Wilson’s “Adorned in Dreams,” Roland Barthes’s “The Fashion System” and “The Languare of Fashion”? The V&A’s website has some good fashion reading lists: http://www.vam.ac.uk/content/articles/f/fashion-theory-reading-list/
No i haven’t, thanks for the recommendations
