Few and far between are the really glamorous red-carpet events in London. We have various premieres in Leicester Square, some royal events and of course, the BAFTAs every year. But the Glamour Awards that were hosted last night are always a red-carpet event to talk about and the style is always fantastic. I used to read Glamour for a few years and every year I would marvel at the British sophistication and style that was brought to the event and now I’m a fashion journalist, that just makes it even greater! As usual, the fashion was right on point and I’m going to pick out some of my favourite looks from the night…as well as a couple of the ones that should have been avoided! Let me know if I’ve missed anyone spectacular out!

Not too keen on this Stella McCartney gown but kudos to Kylie for looking fantastic!

I both love and hate this flapper dress on Jessie J, i love the concept but it kind of saddens me when she tones it down so much!

I’m not very keen on Kelly Rowland’s dress…but can’t put my finger on why! Maybe its the high neckline…

Willoughby has gotten quite a lot of criticism for this dress but I think it looks fantastic on her and you can rarely go wrong with a LBD!

Michele’s Vivienne Westwood dress makes her shoulders look a small bit broad but its a fantastic dress otherwise with a very en vogue train!

Love Lily Collin’s style, and this dress is absolutely beautiful on her!

This orange dress is perfect for the summer and Eva looks fantastic picking up her ‘Inspiration’ Award

In two minds about Jessica Alba’s dress, I’m loving the skirt but the top is a bit too fluffy or something!

Very on trend and Viola Davis really suits bronze!

Once again I fear, Fearne Cotton is dressing too old for her age!

Sophia Vergara could wear a bin bag and still look hot so no complaints here!

Donatella, you’ve had amazing designs but it’s getting embarrassing at this stage!

Lily Allen looking cute and quintessentially British as usual!

Little Mix looking absolutely adorable and each stylish in their own right!

Katherine Kelly, this dress is amazing, I tip my hat to you!

I’m no fan of Myleene Klass by any stretch but she can certainly wear a dress!

And my favourite, not for fashion but for her amazing writing talents is Caitlin Moran!! A real inspiration to me, love her sarcasm and wit! I’ve been told that I write a bit like her and that’s one of the best compliments I’ve ever had!
Keep styling, Em x
