Websites like Pinterest, Looksoup and Fashiolista have become huge in the last year or two because of a rising interest in high fashion and lifestyle. Now people have realised that they can become amateur stylists themselves and create outfits or spaces before they have to buy the items in the pictures. It’s a way of passing time, looking at pretty pictures of puppies or shoes for a while and giving you inspiration for an outfit or a living area.
For fashion diehards like me, these type of sites are on my browser all the time and recently I found a new one that I absolutely love. I love Pinterest but often find its very busy and broad for my interests. Fashiolista is good but not exactly what I’m looking for. I found STYLIGHT, a great site that is a mixture between Lookbook, Fashiolista and Pinterest. The layout is in boards like Pinterest but is focused purely at the fashion community and is in a fabulous muted purple colour. Not only is there separate sections for men and women to explore their own styles but STYLIGHT have their own magazine section, where different writers and bloggers write articles and update other fashion enthusiasts about trends, celebrity fashion and famous bloggers. There are even chances to be interviewed for the site itself!
I’ve just begun using STYLIGHT and I’m already having so much fun with it. I love that although its like Pinterest, everything on the site is fashion based and has a mixture of high-end and high-street fashions. If you see a piece you like on the site, it gives you the price (which updates when it gets reduced) and a link to the online site so you can buy it straight away, PERFECT! You can buy anything on it, from pieces from exclusive brand The Row to little pieces that cost a tenner from site you’ve never even heard of, guaranteeing you have the individual style you want! You can search by blogger Lookbook style or you can use the clothing section that is laid out a little like ASOS.
Whatever your style, you’ll find what you’re looking for at STYLIGHT. It’s chocka block with original style and great fashion tips from famous bloggers such as Kristina Bazan from KAYTURE as well as unknown bloggers that you’ll also love! STYLIGHT is available in pretty much every country (I’m in Ireland visiting the British one) and in seven languages including English, Dutch, German and Italian. So make sure you give STYLIGHT a look and sign up, you’ll never know what opportunities are there for you!
Keep styling, Em x
