So I’ve been hearing so much about this new limited edition ‘Hello Sailor‘ collection that MAC have brought out! I went into one of the MAC boutiques her in Budapest a few weeks ago and of course, fell in love with the red lippie (all you regular readers know I’m a huge fan!). But fellow blogger Roisin Flanagan of ‘I’m making fetch happen’ fame posted about the ‘Sail La Vie’ lipstick complete with picture and I knew I had to have it. Its still a shade of red but its more orange when it goes onto the lips, its absolutely fabulous and such an amazing summer shade!

So to avoid my study today, I went out to find ‘Sail La Vie’. We have four stores in Budapest and I was determined to find it! I went to the West End shopping mall, this HUGE shopping centre in uptown Budapest and ran straight to the store (stopping for hair dye on the way, that time again!). SOLD OUT. I was devastated.

I ran downstairs and hopped back on the metro to go to Vaci Utca, the main shopping street in Budapest, the Hungarian Oxford Street if you will. Ten minutes later, I’m walking through the door of the MAC store towards that beautiful selection of navy and white printed make-up. SOLD OUT.  So the girl behind the counter who thankfully  spoke English rang the other 2 stores, the first one was also sold out and the one in Arena Plaza, another huge shopping centre had ONE left. They reserved it for me and within half an hour I was there with that beautiful MAC bag in my hands.

This is the most legwork I have EVER done for anything, let alone a lipstick but I’m wearing it at the moment and all the travel was so worth it. I literally have the last ‘Sail La Vie’ lipstick in Budapest and I am SO happy with it!
